Get ready for next years weddings with an evenings talk with David McGirr on Pricing and photoshop for weddings. We are starting early to avoid the rush hour.
5.15pm start. How Much should I charge for wedding photography? This is a question that comes everybody has asked at some point. There is no definative answer but David will open the evening with an indepth look at pricing your wedding services, Getting higher sales and how to raise our prices without compromising your bookings. Most importantly, we will be looking at making a profit. This section will be of benefit to all, regardless of how much you charge, your level or qualification.
6.45pm Tony Freeman will give a short breif on what the BIPP is doing for you, the photographer, to help you increase leads. Also, how we as BIPP members can help ourselves.
7.00pm Hot Buffet. (Don't eat before you come, the food is great and plentiful)
7.30pm Photoshop for Weddings. We are all to aware that photoshop is one compicated bit of kit, but you really only need to know a small part to cater for weddings. David will talk you through his workflow from begining to end that will simplify the way you work and save you time and money. We will also concentrate on editing techniquiques that are so simple, it will change the way you look at an image forever. One look at David's website and you'll see that his images are far from basic. By applying simple techniques you will improve your images no end, resulting in better sales and most importantly distingushing yourselves from other photographers.
This is an evening not to be missed. The cost is minimal. £15 per head for members and their guests, £30 non-members.

December – No Event
January – Regional Awards Evening - Full details to follow
Start to get your entries ready now. As in previous years, entries will be accepted via email up to 31st December for the Awards evening in Mid January. For those of you who are new to the region, the competition is a fantastic way of showcasing your best work. All enries will recieve a critique on the evening followed by a presentation to the Winners. This is a great way to gain valuable PR should yoube a winner. There is no cost to enter, so there is no excuse. full details will follow soon.
February – Jane Briscow-Price - Weddings, and beating the credit crunch.
A follow on to David McGirr's talk on pricing and photoshop. Jane will talk about how to beat the credit crunch. Saving money on production from begining to end. Jane has run a highly succesful wedding business for 15 years, scooping numerous awards through the years. Full details to follow.
